Our President attended the International Convention

It was a pleasure for me to have had the opportunity to attend the 93rd International Convention in Sydney from 28th June
to 2nd July and in doing so represent the Lions Club of Sandringham Inc.

Changeover Dinner, June 15th
The Annual Changeover Dinner was an enjoyable night. It was chaired by Foundation Sandringham Lion Bill Adams OAM.
Past District Governor David Oakley carried out the changeover. Thank you to David andf Veeda for coming along.
Visitors from Moorabbin Lions were present. We are forever grateful for their support.
President Wayne presented a donation to Daisy and Andrea from Family Life to assist operations of the Westall Street
Primary School Breakfast Club.
Delightful musical entertainment was provided by students from Sandringham College.

Presentation to Sandringham Hospital, May 26th
We had promised Sandringham Hospital that we would fund a Security Door in a Ward out of the proceeds of En Plein Air 2010.
Thankfully, EPA2010 had a sufficient surplus and we presented the $5000 cheque to Hospital Staff on 26/5/10.
Present were Helen Worladge, Barbara Stringer, Margaret Young and Wayne Worladge, together with three staff from the Hospital.

Rosemary Sharman, SandyBeach Centre
Rosemary was our Dinner Meeting Guest Speaker for 18 May.
Apart from the close association between SandyBeach and Sandy Lions, Rosemary is moving on and we wanted to hear from her before her departure.
She gave us a good rundown on SandyBeach, especially the Communiuty Kitchen Project which we partially fund, and at which Georgina is involed as a volunteer.
It was a well-received talk and PDG Tony Carr thanked her on behalf of the Club.
