Barbecues
All Lions Clubs seem to be involved in running barbecues. Sometimes it is for profit; sometimes to assist a worthy cause.
Sandy Lions got sick of carting a couple of heavy barbecues around the countryside and decided to build a barbecue trailer.
We were assisted by a grant from the Bayside Council.
Bob Clark and Bob Standaloft were the "drivers" of the project.
We also built a shed in the back yard of the Scout Hall to house the finished trailer, and while we were at it, we made it large enough for another trailer (usually the First Prize in the Raffle) to be stored there too.
The whole project has been an outstanding success. Well done to the Bobs and to the others who assisted from time to time.

On the day of the Intrechange Southern BBQ it was a Fire Danger Day so we thought we had to cook inside the shed. | |
 | It was over 40 degrees ouside and inside it must have been 50! |
| We had breaks helping in the serving area. | |
